The first album from this Scottish band.Formed by Jim and William Reid this came out in late 1985. Heavily influenced by The Velvet Underground and 60’s Pop, the record features lots of feedback and low key vocals. This is a new re-issue I bought a couple of years ago. The only song I knew was the single “Just Like Honey” from the radio and playing on the closing credits of some movie I watched in the 90’s. The record is on many critics Best Of lists and is considered somewhat groundbreaking. My first time listening to both sides it sounds pretty good to me. I had a cassette of Barbed Wire Kisses, a collection of rare tracks and B-Sides,but I don’t remember listening to it much. I also had the albums Munki on CD and Honey’s Dead on Cassette.
