After Paul Kantner left, Grace Slick,Craig Chaquico,and Pete Sears,original Jefferson Starship members, along with Mickey Thomas and drummer Donny Baldwin continued on as Starship. A completely different sounding band with only one song written by band members, “Private Room” by Chaquico and Thomas. Other contributing writers were Bernie Taupin,Michael Bolton,and Kimberley Rew of Katrina and The Waves. The first two songs were number one hits,the highly commercialized “We Built This City” and “Sara”. Very 80’s sounding with all the new digital synth and drum programming. Not a bad record if you like that kind of music, which I generally do. They put out two more records which I had no desire to buy.
