Pual Kantner And Grace Slick-Sunfighter

original

This album from late 1971 was another early record of mine . Songs like “Diana/Sunfighter” and “When I Was A Boy I Watched The Wolves” were played on WMMR and my school radio station when I started listening to FM radio in 1972. In 1973 I bought this record. It was a cutout. Grace Slick’s song “Silver Spoon” is about cannibalism. Side two has ballad “China”bout their newborn child China who is also on the cover. “Million” and “Holding Together” sound like leftovers from Blows Against The Empire. “Earth Mother” is a good one with a melody I had heard in another song. Paul And Grace are joined by most of the members of Jefferson Airplane plus the usual contributions from Jerry Garcia and David Crosby.
