This is their fourth album from 1968. This is one I didn’t know I had and can’t remember when or where I bought it. Obviously an initial pressing as the record sleeve is one from the late 60’s advertising other records from that time and even some 8-tracks the Airplanes next album Volunteers being one of them. It also has the “Brumus sheet” a poster with lyrics and liner notes on one side and a picture of Robert Kennedy’s dog Brumus on the other side. The cover is not in bad shape the record is pretty scratchy but no skips. Two songs,”Grace Slick’s “Lather” and Paul Kantner’s “Crown Of Creation” are on the Worst Of album along with the strange instrumental :Cushingura. Another standout track is the David Crosby penned “Triad” written when he was still a member of The Byrds but never recorded by them. Crosby plays acoustic guitar on the song and it sounds much like his rendition of it on C.S.N.& Y’s 4 Way Street album. “If You Feel” is another good one featuring the Wah- Wah pedal. “Greasy Heart” shows off Slick’s vocals and “The House At Pooneil Corners” describes a nuclear explosion. Another good record and better than After Bathing At Baxters, their previous release that I used to own but sold.
