Bert Jansch-Anthology

Bert Jansch is a Scottish Folk singer and a member of the group Pentangle. He is a great acoustic guitar player and six of the tracks on this album are acoustic guitar instrumentals. One of these “Angie is very familiar to me as it was used in a promo for WXPN’s Folk show. These songs are form albums he did for Transantlantic Records from 1965-1971. There are some traditional songs like “Reynardine” and “Nottamun Town” as well as originals. My two favorites both on side two are “It Don’t Bother Me” and the touching anti drug song “Needle Of Death”. I bought this used sometime in the 80’s,unfortunately it is in very bad shape now, very scratchy with many skips. Not shurew how that happened as I never played it very much,I don’t think it was like that when I bought it. One for the trash.
