Joe Jackson-Big World

After Jackson’s Latin and Jazz influenced Body And Soul album he returned to the more Rock oriented music of his first two records. This 1986 record is a live recording of new songs from the Roundabout Theater in NYC in late January of 1986. Audience noise is non-existent so it sounds like a studio release. One I bought new when it came out and one I always liked. This is a three sided album with the fourth side blank. Most of the best songs are spread over the three sides so there was not one side I favored. Side one has “Right And Wrong” and “”Precious Time”,side two “Fifty Dollar Love Affair”and “We Can’t Live Together” and “The Jet Set” and “Hometown” one of my favorite Joe Jackson songs, on side three. He has a new band for this record with Vinnie Zummo on guitar,Rick Ford on bass and Gary Burke doing the drumming. The record comes with a booklet with lyrics and liner notes in six languages.
