Joe Jackson-Night And Day

This came out in 1982. I bought it in “82 when I was living in Newark Delaware. After his last record a collection of covers from the ’40’s ,this record is more of a Jazzy pop album. Most of the tracks are piano and percussion heavy with Joe playing various keyboards and Sue Hadjopoulos playing congas, bongos, bells and xylophone. Gram Maby returns on bass. There is no guitar on this album. Not a bad record but nothing like his first two. Side one has the two best songs “Another World” and “Steppin’ Out”,a big selling single. Both of those songs are on my playlist. Side two is mostly slower more ballad type songs with “Cancer” being the song I liked best on that side. The record is not in very good shape with side two having many skips, again the side I hardly ever played. One for the reject pile. If I see a used one cheap I might pick it up.
