The Iceburn Collective-Power Of The Lion

I had a cassette by Iceburn called Hephaestus which was a kind of Heavy Metal album so when I saw this at a record store in Delaware I figured it was the same band. It was but the music on this two record set is hard to listen to. Released in 1998 on their own label this is a re-issue from 2009. One 70 minute composition in 7 parts, the music is part Jazz,Experimental,Noise and Drone, not something you would normally listen to. With two guitars ,two stand up basses and drums it could use some keyboards or something. Sometimes sounding a bit like King Crimson or The Grateful Dead’s “Space” improvisations it has its moments but you have to suffer through too much noise to get to them. Not sure if I will keep this record, probably not.
