His first album for CTI. This is one I had on CD but was sold along with most of my CDs in 2013. This is a re-issue I bought a few years ago. It is on heavy red vinyl. Freddie is joined by an all star cast of sidemen: Herbie Hancok,Ron Carter,Lenny White,and Joe Henderson. This was a record I liked a lot. The compositions on side one “Red Clay” and “Delphia” are in the Jazz/Rock/Fusion style being played by Miles Davis and The Mahavishnu Orchestra at the time. Side two has two in the more mainstream Jazz style “Suite Sioux” and “The Intrepid Fox”. Both feature Hancock’s electric piano and there is a drum solo by Lenny White on “The Intrepid Fox”.
