This is a duo from Richmond Virginia. This came out in 1989. Bryan Harvey on guitar and vocals and Johnny Hott on drums. Some tracks have keyboards. The music sounds kind of thin to me as there is no bass although Harvey does play some bass lines on his guitar. To me he doesn’t have a strong voice and I don’t like this record very much. After making another record the band broke up with Harvey joining with Steve Wynn of Dream Syndicate in the group Gutterball whose only album I had on cassette. On New Years Day 2006 Harvey, his wife and daughters were murdered and there house set on fire by two men who killed three more people a week later. The men were later caught, one executed and another serving a like sentence. These killings inspired The Drive-By Truckers to write the song “Two Daughters And A Beautiful Wife” that was on their 2008 album. This is a used record I bought a few years ago not knowing the story of Harvey at the time. It’s a record that will go to the reject pile.
