Certainly one of the most classic Rock records of all time. Released in 1967 its groundbreaking style of guitar playing and recording made this a instant success. Every song is great from the singles “Purple Haze”,”The Wind Cries Mary”,and “Hey Joe” to the more trippy songs like “I Don’t Live Today” and “Third Stone From The Sun”. “Manic Depression” is one of my favorites from the record with an awesome guitar solo. I used to have his Smash Hits record that I bought in the early 70’s but it went missing at some time and I ended up with this record which I did not buy. In fact it only has the record sleeve and no cover. I put in in with his Crash Landing album. I can’t remember how I got this record but it was sometime in the 70’s. The record is in pretty good shape with six songs from it on the Smash Hits record.
