This is a two record set from 2006. One record acoustic and Folky the other more uptempo and rocking. This is more a solo album without his band The Innocent Criminals. The first record employs a lot of strings and I don’t like it too much. I Guess the two best songs are on side two “More Than Sorry” and “Cryin’ Won’t Help You Now”. The other record is better with “Black Rain”,a political song, and “Better Ways”, good songs on side three but side four is the best with Harper playing slide guitar on all but one of the five tracks.”Gather Round The Stone” has the sound of an old English ballad and “Get It Like You Like It” is a good rocker but the last track is the best.”Serve Your Soul” has a Gospel feel to it with some nice instrumental breaks sounding almost Metal in one spot. In 2006 most releases were not on vinyl,still all on CD,this was an exception and I bought it just for that reason. It came with a strange collage type poster
