Hall & Oates-Abandoned Luncheonette

original

This is their second album from 1973. I bought this probably in ’75 or ’76. I always liked side one with every song in a Folk/Soul vein with “She’s Gone” being a big hit and “Las Vegas Turnaround” about Sara Allen ,John Halls girlfriend at the time. “When The Morning Comes” is also a song I liked. Side two is a bit different being a little more produced but it does have my favorite song on the record “Lady Rain”. I like the electric violin and mandolin on the song. ]The record closes with the Funky “Everytime I Look At You” that ends with a little banjo and fiddle. This is the only record of theirs I ever owned until I bought a few used ones in the last few years. The diner on the cover was on Rt. 724 outside Pottstown were it sat until 1983.
