After the HSAS album Sammy was back with his usual backing band on this 1984 record.Another good album this has his big hit “I Can’t Drive 55” that was in heavy rotation on MTV in ’84 to ’85. That song leads off side one followed by two more good songs “Swept Away” and “Rock Is In My Blood”. Side two also has three good songs, the raunchy “Dick In The Dirt”,”VOA”,and “Burnin’ Down The City”. There are also two power ballad type songs that I don’t really like, one on each side. Shortly after the release of this record he joined Van Halen.Always liked Sammy Hagar since his days with Montrose. I saw him in concert opening for Boston ,in 1977 I think. The only songs I knew were the two he sang from his Montrose days “Bad Motor Scooter” and “Space Station No. 5”
