Richard Greene-Ramblin’

Richard Greene is a violin/fiddle player who has played with the Jim Kweskin Jug Band,Bill Monroe, and the band Seatain. He was the violin player on their hit 13 questions. This is basically a bluegrass record but he interprets Jazz,Blues, and Standards and even some Classical. He has many people helping him out including Seatrain bandmate Peter Rowan and ex Jug Band singer Maria Muldaur. My favorites are the three bluegrass tunes that close the record. “Uncle Pen” is a Bill Monroe instrumental,”The Walls Of Time” written by Monroe and Green and “In The Pines” sung by Rowan and Muldaur. I did get to see part of his set at one of the Merlefest festivals I went to.The record and cover from 1979 is in like new condition.
