Foghat-Energized

This is their third album from January of 1974 and is one of their best. Foghat was formed in 1971 by Dave Peverett,Tony Stevens and Roger Earl who had been in the band Savoy Brown. They added slide guitarist Rod Price and moved to the U.S.A. They play a kind of Boogie and Blues Rock sounding a bit like Savoy Brown as Peverett was their singer when he was in that band. “Honey Hush” a song by Big Joe Turner is the first song and it also mixes in “Train Kept A-Rollin'”,another song written in the 50’s, which was also covered by’ The Yardbirds in’65 and Aerosmith in ’74. “Step Outside is another good song and “Home In My Hand” was a live favorite. Side two has a cover of the Buddy Holly song “That’ll Be The Day” and “Nothin’ I Won’t Do” a long guitar jam. This is one I had on 8-Track tape when I was in High School. I bought this used about 5 or 10 years ago. The cover is in fair shape, the record sounds good,no skips.
