Since my original Tusk album was in such bad shape I’ve been looking for another one.New re-issues sell for over $35,a bit too much. I came across this 2016 Record Sore Day release leftover in 2019 at a reduced price,I think it was $24 so I bought it. The songs are in the same running order and all but three are unreleased. Many sound almost the same but others have sparser instrumentation. On “Storms” Stevie is backed only by Lindsey playing acoustic guitar. I like that better than the album cut. Another one I like better is “Save Me A Place” with different background vocals. “Sisters Of The Moon” is a bit more rocking and “Sara” has a whole different Do-Wop sound to it.The most radically different song is McVie’s “Brown Eyes.It’s the same tune, with Peter Green sitting in to add some electric guitar,but with totally different lyrics.
