Fleetwood Mac-Future Games

At this point Jeremy Spencer abruptly left the band during a U.S. tour in 1971 to join a religious cult, never returning, leaving the trio of Fleetwood,McVie, and Kirwan remaining. Christine McVie became a full fledged member and Californian Bob Welch was added as another guitarist and songwriter. The two best song son the record, Welch’s “Future Games” and Kirwan’s “Sands Of Time” at eight minutes and seven minutes long, though not quite progressive are a far cry from the blues they were playing just 18 months earlier. The record also has Christine McVie’s first two songs written and sung by her “Morning Rain”, an uptempo song,W and “Show Me A Smile” ,a ballad, both pretty good songs. Welch’s “Lay It All Down” is ok but I don’t like Kirwan’s other two songs on the record.I bought this used around the same time I bought Kiln House. The cover is in bad shape(more water damage) and the record is very scratchy with a few skips. Another record for the reject pile, although I hat to do it since it is hard to find, but it is just too bad a shape to keep.
