This four song EP is the first release by this L.A. area band founded by Steve Wynn and Kendra Smith. It came out in 1982 and are considered part of the Paisley Underground,bands that favored the psychedelic and garage rock sound of the late 60’s. “Sure Thing” sounds like The Velvet Underground especially with Steve Wynn’s Lou Reed like voice and phrasing. The other three songs sound similar with “Some Kinda Itch” sporting some psychedelic fuzz toned guitar by Karl Precoda.Bass player Kendra Smith played on their debut full length record then teamed up with Dave Roback in the Paisley underground “supergroup” Rain Parade before forming the duo Opal. After one record she was replaced by Hope Sandoval and they changed their name to Mazzy Star.
