The Doobie Brothers-Stampede

This one came out in 1975,the year I graduated from High School, and the last album recorded before Michael McDonald joined the band. It’s another good record with the classic Doobies sound.Side one has a nice little acoustic guitar instrumental by Patrick Simmons. I like side two the best,it starts off with their hit “Take Me In Your Arms(Rock Me A Little While)’,a Holland-Dozier-Holland cover. I love the guitar solo in this one. “I Cheat The Hangman” has background vocals by Maria Muldaur and an ending that features strings and horns. The last two songs on the side “I Been Working On You” and “Double Dealin’ Four Flusher” are typical rocking Doobie Bros. songs. Another used record I bought in 2019 for 4$.Record and cover in good shape.
