The Doobie Brothers-What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits

original

This one came out in in 1974 and I rushed out to buy it. I did not like it as much as The Captain And Me and I didn’t play it nearly as much. Still lots of good songs including “Black Water” their biggest selling single at that time. Other songs I like are “Pursuit on 53rd St”,”Daughters Of The Sea”, and “Eyes Of Silver”. There are many guest musicians on this record including The Memphis Horns on three songs,Arlo Guthrie,Eddie Guzman,of Rare Earth,Jeff”Skunk”Baxter,Novi who played viola on “Spirit” and “Black Water” and Bill Payne on keyboards.
