Device is a Synth Pop band from the mid 80’s led by Holly Knight who had previously been in a band called Spider and was primarily a songwriter having written hits for Pat Benatar,Heart,Tina Turner,and Cheap Trick among others. She was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 2013. This is their only record from 1986. Most of the songs were co-written by Mike Chapman. I always liked this record with it’s synthesizer chops,guitar, and electronic drums,very 80’s, and a good singer,Paul Engemann. Although I always played side two,side one has the best song “Hanging On A Heart Attack” which was a single with video played on MTV. I liked all the songs on side two.
