Crosby & Nash-Graham Nash David Crosby

original

This is the first collaboration between these two released in 1972. They put out three or four more when not working with Stills and Young. This is one I bought in 1972, being a big fan of C.S.N.&Y. The last song on the record “Immigration Man” was a minor hit. I hadn’t listened to this record in a long time and I find the songs still sound good to me. They don’t write together so Crosby’s songs are a little tougher,Nash’s are a little more pop oriented. “Whole Cloth” and “The Wall Song” are two of Crosby’s songs I like. Nash wrote “Immigration Man”,”Southbound Train”, where he plays some harmonica, and the 58 second “Blacknotes” which I always liked. The cover is in bad shape, almost falling apart, the record is pretty scratchy with one skip.
