Creedence Clearwater Revival-Live In Europe

original

This is a record I bought in 1973. The record was recorded in 1971 and was the last time they played as a group. Only a trio now as Tom Fogerty had left the band earlier. They clearly miss his second guitar on these recordings and they sound listless compared to their performance at Woodstock just two years earlier. They run through their favorites including “Proud Mary”,”Born On The Bayou”,”Green River”,”Fortunate Son”,”Bad Moon Rising”,and “Sweet Hitch-Hiker” from their last album Mardi Gras. They close with a 13 minute “Keep On Chooglin'” where they stretch it out a bit.
