Crack The Sky-Crack The Sky

original

The first album from this band from Pittsburgh. This came out in 1975. A really good record, the songs are kind of quirky stopping suddenly and going off in a different direction. Every song is good with dual lead guitarists and some keyboards in an almost progressive vein. In 1975 I was working at my first real job at the local steakhouse. I remember hearing “A Sea Epic” on the radio while vacuuming the floor after closing(we would change the station to a Rock station and crank it up after all the customers had left). After buying the record I was pleased at how good the rest of it was. I saw them live when they opened up for Cheap Trick in 1977 at Bullwinkles,a bar in New Jersey on route 50. Later I saw them at a small Progressive Rock festival, in 2005 or 2006, along with Wishbone Ash,Ambrosia, and eight other bands.
