Elvis Costello-My Aim Is True

The first record from Elvis this came out in 1977 at the beginning of the Punk Rock/New Wave era. The album was produced by Nick Lowe and Elvis was backed by American band Clover on this record. There are many good, well known songs on this album like “Alison”,”Watching The Detectives”,”Waiting For The End Of The World”,and “(The Angels Wanna Wear My)Red Shoes”. The rest of the songs are pretty good, all in the same New Wave style. Although not a big fan of Elvis Costello this is a very important record and his next two, recorded with his band The Attractions also had some good songs on them. I bought a couple of his later records on cassette and they were ok but I was not crazy about them. This record is a re-issue I bought in 2020 from Barnes & Noble who had about half their records at 50% off for about two months.
