This record was recorded in 1964 along with A Love Supreme. This was released in April of ’64. This features his classic Quartet of McCoy Tyner,Jimmy Garrison,and Elvin Jones. I like side two best. “Lonnie’s Lament” has a long bass solo and “The Drum Thing” is just that. Elvin Jones’s drumming could fit in any rock setting. I had this record and A Love Supreme on tape and the vinyl copies I had were re-issues I bought new in 2018.
