This is an Irish family band composed of siblings and cousins. Sister Enya joined for a while before going solo. I first heard the song “Theme From Harry’s Game” played over the closing credits of U2’s VCR tape “Live at Red Rocks”in 1987.I had never heard of the band before and really liked the song. I found this record later that year and saw that the song was the first on the record so I bought it. There are many great songs on this record about half sung in Gaelic. Some of my favorites are “Closer To Your Heart”,”Newgrange”Caislean Oir” and “Dulaman”. “Nil Sen La” from their live album is an extended piece with long solos on Flute,Bass, and Guitar. A great introduction to the band and of course I had to buy more.
