Cheap Trick-In Color

Original

The second album from Cheap Trick released in 1977. This was one of my favorite records back then and I loved the songs “Big Eyes”,”Oh Caroline”,”Southern Girls”,and “Come On Come On”. Another record played hundreds of times the cover is in good shape, there is one skip on “Oh Caroline”. I saw them at a bar in New Jersey shortly after this record came out. Crack the Sky opened up.I went with my friend and two waitresses from the restaurant I worked at who went separately. For some reason I forgot my license and one of the girls had to convince the bouncer that I was over 18. Only about a hundred people were at the bar. Rick Neilsen was wearing his baseball hat and his guitar had picks all along the neck which he would throw out to the audience. I used to have one of them. They played all my favorites from the album and some from their first that I had never heard before. On the way home I got pulled over,I don’t remember why,and of course I had no license but my friend gave the cop his and he went into his car to check us out. A couple minutes later he came out gave my friend his license back and said “You boys are lucky”,jumped back into his cruiser and took off sirens wailing and lights flashing. Must have had something more important to do.
