Catherine Wheel-Like Cats And Dogs

This is a compilation of non album tracks and B-sides released in 1996. I had this on cassette when it came out and didn’t know it was a compilation until I read the liner notes on the vinyl copy when I bought it in 2019. I thought it was just another regular release. A two record set, the records are a semi-transparent light pink vinyl. Lots of good songs on this although a cover of Rush’s “Spirit Of The Radio” does not appear on this vinyl edition. One song “Pleasure” is on the vinyl but was not on the cassette. The three songs on side two, “Mouthful Of Air”,”Car”,and”Girl Stand Still” seem to make up a suite and are the best of the record. There are no bad songs on this record probably the weakest song is a fairly straightforward cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here”. There are many pictures of sets of twins on the inner sleeves and the labels. I saw group leader Rob Dickinson on a solo tour opening up for The Church in 2005 or 2006. Most of the songs he played were Catherine Wheel songs.
