This is a live album from 2004 recorded at shows in Chicago and Toronto. Neko is backed by the Canadian Alt-Country band The Sadies and several guest stars.She performs four originals and five covers including songs by Loretta Lynn,Freakwater,and The Shangri-Las. There is a nice acoustic version of the Traditional “Wayfaring Stranger” and an unnamed bluesy track at the end of side one. Although she grew up on the west coast there is a picture of her wearing a Penn State T-shirt at one of the shows. I thought that was pretty cool. This recording was released on vinyl in 2014. It’s nice that many albums from the late 90’s to the 2000’s that were only made on CD are now being released on vinyl.
