The second album released in 1972. Another great album, I like this better than Spotlight Kid.Once again every song is good and shows a diversity in their music.”Too Much Time” sounds like a Motown hit and”My Head Is My Only House Unless It Rains” shows a rare mellow side of the band.”Low Yo Yo Stuff”,”Crazy Little Thing” and “Big Eyed Beans From Venus” were played on FM radio, the latter two making it onto my “Mix” tapes I made in the early 70’s.I had a cheap portable Sears tape recorder that I would take the microphone and put it between a set of headphones and record songs I liked from the radio. I had about five or six of such tapes. They are long gone but I wish I could listen to them now. There were some songs I remember on them that I still don’t know who made them.Anyway Beefheart made records until the early 80’s when he retired from the music business. I haven’t heard any of his records made after this one. An interesting artist, he died in 2010
