This is some of the earliest recordings of this Krautrock band form 1968.Meant to be their first record these were not released until 1981.Somewhat rock,jazz,a little funk this music is hard to label. Being German they fit into the Krautrock genre.All members are accomplished musicians and are joined by “vocalist” Malcolm Mooney an American. “Butterfly” is a great song “Uphill” is the most rocking song. You can’t listen to “Little Star of Bethlehem without thinking of The Red Hot Chile Peppers despite the dumb lyrics.All of Can’s records have been re-released over the last few years and I have bought most of their earlier ones. Having only listened to one side of each record they will bear some further listening.
