David Bowie-Profile

This is a German release from 1979. I couldn’t find any pictures of it on the internet. It has a picture of a Ziggy Stardust era Bowie from the waist up with a microphone in his hand. This record covers his earliest work from 1966-1967. Some of it is pretty bad sounding like it’s from a dance hall. Three songs that I do like are the more folksy “Silly Boy Blue”.”Come and Buy My Toys” and “There is a Happy Place”.”Please Mr. Gravedigger” is just strange and “The Laughing Gnome” is some kind of novelty song. I bought this in Philly when I was living there in the early 90’s. It still has the $2.50 price tag on it.Most of these songs appeared on his first record called David Bowie in 1967. An update on this one I found a picture of this record on Discogs
