One of the first records I bought. After hearing “Paranoid” on the top 40 radio station I was listening to at the time I went to the record store and bought it.This was late 1970 or early ’71. I liked the cover too not knowing anything about LSD and seeing trails.I remember my parents looking at the record and wondering what a song called “Rat Salad” was about. This is their best known album. Everybody has heard “Paranoid”,”War Pigs”,and “Iron Man”. I also liked “Planet Caravan” with the great bass playing by Geezer Butler. Considered by many to be one of the first Heavy Metal bands it was a type music I had never heard before.
