This live album from the Royal Albert Hall was recorded and released in early 1970. Ginger fronts a 9 piece ensemble including Steve Winwood,Chris Wood,Rick Gretch ,and Denny Laine. With 8 songs over two records there is a lot of jamming but with a jazz or world music feel rather than rock. As expected there are plenty of drum and percussion solos.The Air Force made 2 more records with different recruits before landing for good in 1972. Ginger then teamed up with the Gurvitz brothers to form The Baker-Gurvitz Army. I had 2 of their records but sold them in the great purge of 2013. Still waiting for the Ginger Baker Navy.
